The August 2024 release of Alinity was deployed to Test environments on August 6th and deployed to Production environments on August 15th. A summary of the changes included in this release appear below.

New Features
Member Dashboard Configuration | Admin
Administrators with the “Settings” grant can now modify the layout of the member dashboard. When on the member dashboard, you’ll see a button to change the layout. This change is for the entire system. You will be able to change the order the widgets are shown in as well as set up a time period where specific widgets should not be shown; this would allow you to simplify the dashboard during renewal for example. The dashboard layout has also been updated so that the half-width widgets will render left-right in the order configured excluding any a member shouldn’t see or which have been excluded for the current date.
Feature Improvements
Export Scheduling – Cloud Export
Cloud exports can now be scheduled in addition to being run manually. This feature will allow you to manage the data sources you have schedules on, review their run history and remove schedules no longer required. To make scheduling easier you can locate the data source you want on the ad-hoc export list and select it, a new button will show up that will take you directly to schedule create with the data source already selected. This feature is still under active development and new scheduling intervals may be added as additional options.
Recent Export Status – Cloud Export
A new tab has been added to cloud export that will allow you to see the last week’s worth of run history for ad-hoc exports. If you have run an export manually and aren’t seeing the file in your storage account after a while you can go to this list to check on the status of that export.
Bug Fixes
Partial payment proration on adjusted invoices | Accounting
This month we resolved an issue relating to the proration on adjusted invoices. If an invoice had multiple line items, and a partial payment was made, the system would prorate how the payment was applied to each item. The challenge was if the invoice was adjusted after this first payment was applied. It wasn’t redoing the proration. This has now been resolved.
Adjusted label from “Current Price” to “Full Price” on catalog items | Accounting
Previously, a catalog item used the term “Current Price” regardless of whether or not proration has been applied at a given time of year in the table at the top of the screen. This could be misleading, so we updated the label to “Full Price” to remove any potential confusion.
Payment Date vs Create Time on invoices | Accounting
Previously, on the payments section of an invoice, the first column would show “Create Time.” Often Create Time and the Payment Date would be the same. However, in some cases, the payment date is much later than the create time. We’ve updated the user interface to now show the Payment Date instead.
Corporate renewal not generating registration when invoice was paid | Corporations
A bug was discovered where a paid invoice tied to a corporation renewal was not generating a registration for the following year. This has now been resolved.
