The January 2023 release of Alinity was deployed to Test environments on January 13th and Production environments on January 19th. A summary of the changes included in this release will appear below in subsequent days.
Alinity is Moving to Microsoft Azure – Almost There!
If you have been following our monthly blog posts, you will have seen our announcements about migrating Alinity to a new hosting platform. The new platform is Microsoft Azure© and we have been working with it in our development environment for all of 2022. We are excited about how well it is performing and the new features it will allow us to create in Alinity. We have decided to postpone our move to Azure until 2023 in order to allow renewal periods that are currently in progress, to be completed without interruption. Migration to Azure will begin on Test environments in the first quarter of 2023 and then for production systems starting in the second quarter. We will continue to upgrade Alinity with bug fixes and new features each month while the transition is moving forward.

Validation rule to prevent duplicate registration forms | Feature Update | Other Forms |
Specifically for registration forms under the “other forms” header, this rule prevents a member from having multiple application (or other registration-related) forms open simultaneously. While the User Interface will precent the creation of such forms naturally, this validation rule catches any edge cases that could arise.
Add Declaration Requirement | Feature Update | Admin |
Several fields which are not required for declaration requirements are hidden when creating or modifying a requirement to help simplify the process of setting up and maintaining declarations.
Requirement Alternate Language | Feature Update | Member Portal |
The alternate language, typically French in a bilingual system, will display properly for members if their culture is set to the alternate language.

Automated deployments no longer blocked on overlarge files | Bug Fix | General |
Alinity temporarily increases some of your database files during the upgrade process to facilitate the changes. If one of these files cannot be shrunk down to our recommended size after the upgrade we will no longer stop the site from coming online due to that. Instead we will correct that file in the background with no downtime required.
