The September 2024 release of Alinity was deployed to Test environments on September 10th and was deployed to Production environments on September 19th. A summary of the changes included in this release appear below.

New Features
Admin form change preservation | Admin
When an admin makes changes to a form via the “My Forms” utility, Alinity is automatically notified but finding the specific changes so that they can be saved for future deployments was a manual process. New code is now in place to automatically detect and highlight the specific changes made to ensure all are identified and brought back into our source control management. This will prevent possible overwrites of form changes.
Catalog item refund block | Accounting
You now have the ability to configure a catalog item to be blocked from a refund. For example, an admin fee that as a rule would not be refundable in your organization. The line item will be excluded from the refund by default, but can be included manually when required. This functionality is only applicable when refunding through an invoice itself, not the payments page.
Feature Improvements
By Contact Information query | Admin
“By contact information” will let you find organizations via their phone number, fax number, email address, and/or website. Each parameter supports partial matches which means you can find all 780- numbers, or websites under a shared domain.
By register query refinement | Admin
The “by register” base query now has an additional optional component to exclude users whose accounts have been deactivated. This can be useful in the context of Applicants, or potentially non-practicing members, under specific scenarios. The new default is to exclude deactivated accounts.
Qualifying Education | Admin
“Qualifying education” can now be shown in configurations where no “qualifying organizations” have been entered into the system. The system will now treat education as qualifying as long as the “Related to profession” toggle is turned on for a credential and the regulator has no qualifying organizations entered into the system.
Bug Fixes
Improved “Groups” search page performance | Admin
We fixed an issue where, in order to return the count of members, the current-time had to be calculated twice per member in the group. Now the current time is only calculated once per group decreasing page load time. For example, page opening time decreased by 70% for a regulator with 100+ groups.
Consultations “Closed date” incorrect on profile | Consultations
There was an issue where the “Closed date” on a consultation was appearing as the same date as the “opened date” on the member’s profile even though the consultation itself was still open. This has now been resolved.

The October 2024 release of Alinity is scheduled for deployment to production sites October 17th.
