The June 2021 release of Alinity was deployed to Test environments on June 10th and Production environments on June 21st. A summary of the changes included in this release appear below.

| With custom rules configured for approving paid applications, renewals and other forms it is possible that a sale may be successfully made through the processor but the payment not allowed to be recorded in Alinity. With this update Alinity will now attempt to automatically void the sale in Elavon to prevent the member’s credit card from being charged. | ||

| A new configuration option “Minimum Email Open Interval” is available to to only record email open times that occur 15 seconds or more after the email was sent. This feature is disabled when the setting is 0. This setting is designed to eliminate “false positives” that occur when email is opened immediately by programs on a member’s mail provider to inspect the content of the email to determine if it is spam. Without this setting, the email appears as if it were opened by an end user. A non-zero setting does make “false negatives” possible if an end user does open an email within the interval you define. We recommend 15 seconds for this setting which has been shown statistically to avoid 99.9% of false negatives in the data we have on this scenario. | ||

| All search grids now remember the last page of the results you were viewing and show that page instead of the first page when you return to the grid. The page selection will also be maintained if you click the query refresh button. You will be returned to the first page of a grid after sorting, running a new query or starting a new browser session (restarting your browser, opening a new tab on certain browsers, etc). | ||

| The note and document explorers have been updated with a few new features to make them easier to navigate. Notes/documents as well as the folder that belong to the record you’re viewing will be highlighted to make them stand out amongst the other content. Additionally the help desk can help you fine-tune when the options to combine duplicate folders and promote child folder content into the parent folder are used and will be able to help you turn these off on certain screens to return to a more classic view or to change when folders with duplicate names are combined that the folder for the record you’re viewing should be left as is where possible. | ||

| The search-logic for this page has been overhauled to improve performance. The base searches that used to take a minimum of 6 seconds now complete in 2 seconds or less (often sub-second). | ||

| The current employees list for an organization included expired records where the expiry was within the current registration year but no indicator was shown for these expired employees. Expired records will now be displayed with a strike through on the current employees list. | ||

| When adding new members to a person group these records wouldn’t show up on the member grid of the group until the search button was clicked. This has been fixed so they show up immediately. Note that if you open the add dialog in a new tab then you will need to refresh the grid manually when you are finished this fix corrects the issue where this did not occur when working in a single tab. | ||

Next release
The July 2021 release of Alinity is scheduled for deployment to production sites July 15th.
